Reserve a Baby Bearded Dragon from our upcoming fall clutches!

ree

Recently many people have reached out to me saying that every time I put dragons up for sale they sell before they get a chance to buy one. I'm also taking into consideration families who are trying to plan for getting a bearded dragon and would like to have the certainty of knowing if and when they are going to be able to welcome a Bearded dragon into their home.

Having said all this, for the upcoming babies that will be put up for sale this September I am going to allow people to put a $40 deposit down to secure a dragon. If you would like to secure a dragon, please email me at kelownabeardeddragons@gmail.com. In the email please send me the following details:

1) Which set of parents you are hoping to adopt a baby from. We have 2 clutches of babies we are raising at the moment. The parents of one clutch are Bella & Smaug and the others are Magnus & Fiona. If you want more information, and to see sneak peek photos, take a look on our website here to see more details we recently posted : https://www.kelownabeardeddragons.com/bearded-dragons . If you do not have a preference of which set of babies you want to buy from, let me know.

2) If you prefer a male or female. Please know, I can't guarantee that you will get the gender you want. The babies are still too young to sex and therefore I do not know at this moment how many males and how many females I have. Those earliest to email me and send a deposit will be catered to first and therefore will be more likely to get the gender they want.

3) Feel free to include any further details you think I should know. For example, if you are hoping to adopt more than one, if you are hoping to receive the dragon around a certain date, etc..

I will do my best to respond to your email as soon as I can. At that time I will confirm if I still have enough dragons unspoken for you to reserve one and if I do I will ask you to send a $40 deposit.

Bellow are further questions and answers regarding placing a deposit on a dragon:

How many dragons will there be for sale?

We are very excited to say that right now we have just over a whopping 40 babies we are raising! This September will be the biggest selection of babies for people to pick from than we have had in a while. 15 of the babies are Bella & Smaug's babies, and 25 are Fiona & Magnus'.

To avoid "counting our chickens" too early, we will be allowing 30 people to secure a dragon, which will leave us with 10 extra dragons that will go up for sale to the public after those with deposits have picked theirs out. Some dragons might grow a little slower than others and therefore you will likely notice that not all of the babies from each clutch are posted all at once (usually there are 1-3 babies per clutch we hold back for an extra week or two).

When will they be posted for sale?

When they go up for sale depends on how quickly they grow. Bella & Smaug's babies will likely go up for sale in the first or second week of September. Fiona & Magnus's babies will follow shortly after that and should be put up for sale around mid - late September.

Will my dragon be picked out for me? Or do I still get to pick mine out?

You will get to pick yours out. When the babies are ready to go up for sale I will temporarily lock the page with a password. I will then email those who have put down deposits and give them the password to access the page where they can then see photos and prices of each dragon and select the one they want. I will contact 5 people at a time, working my way down the list of those who have put down deposits (in order of deposit placement). Once those 5 people have selected theirs, I will then contact the next set of 5 people and repeat.

Can I pick mine out now instead of waiting for when they are ready to go to their new homes?

No, at this age they are rapidly growing and developing their colours. I prefer to have people pick out their dragon when they can better see the colours that the dragon is taking on. I also do not check their genders until they are ready to put up for sale. Lastly, it is very time consuming for me to take individual photos of each dragon and to remember which dragon is reserved for who. I appreciate everyone's patience in waiting until the babies are ready to sell to pick theirs out.

Thank you for taking the time to read all of this.
